Reduce the juice

Bring a new sustainability engagement programme into your halls of residence!

Reduce the Juice is a student sustainability engagement programme – making student accommodation more sustainable through behaviour change. Reduce the Juice aims to make sustainability the norm by developing a targeted message, effective branding, relatable data communication and utilising existing and new engagement platforms to bring sustainability up to date for students. It uses a combination of student led change, engagement and competitions to create positive impacts, and now we are looking for partner universities to pilot Reduce the Juice over the next year.

For the past year, the University of London has developed Reduce the Juice, a student accommodation sustainability engagement programme, achieving some great results:

  • recycling rates of over 80%
  • energy savings of over £18,000

All through behaviour change.

It’s completely managed by the Reduce the Juice team, at cost price to partner universities.
